FLUECHEM SELECTED AS FINALIST FOR INTERNATIONAL TRADE AWARD BY MARITIME UK

Maritime UK is the umbrella organisation for the maritime sector in the UK; bringing together shipping, ports, services, engineering and leisure marine industries. Their purpose is to champion and enable a thriving maritime sector with a responsibility of coordinating and delivering industry recommendations within Maritime 2050 - the government’s vision and ambitions for the future of the British maritime sector.

The Maritime UK Awards celebrate the wonderful world of maritime and the fantastic progress being made by organisations within Maritime 2050. Focusing on five key national priorities: People, Innovation, Regional Growth, Environment and Competitiveness

The International Trade award aimed to recognise a maritime business of any size that is actively involved in international trade. Applicants had to be able to demonstrate a significant increase to their importing and exporting activities, evidenced through increased revenue and job creation. The judges looked for a great business with excellent potential, delivery, as well as successful growth and major-client wins.

Following a detailed submission process, Fluechem was selected as one of three finalists for the International Trade award alongside BAE Systems and Ridgeway Rockbags and were invited to attend the award ceremony at the Titanic Belfast on 5th June 2024. Along with over 500 industry colleagues and partners in government.

Rebecca our Customer and Office Supervisor, together with Mike our Head of Logistics, attended the black-tie event to represent Fluechem. Despite ultimately not winning the award, they enjoyed the opportunity of meeting the broad range of people involved in the maritime industry and savouring Belfast’s hospitality.

Quote from CEO Niall Roberts:

“Being recognised as a finalist in a high-profile event such as the Maritime UK Awards is a fantastic achievement for the team. I am proud of what we have all achieved in Fluechem over the last few years and having that recognition by an industry body is a great accomplishment.

I believe that having a clear long term sustainable strategy and detailed business plan, supported by an outstanding team, is the key to our success.

Niall Roberts, CEO, Fluechem Limited.
