The 12th of January 2024 marked a milestone for Fluechem as it achieved ISO 9001:2015 certification for its exceptional supply chain for the supply of marine emissions and compliance chemicals worldwide.
This certification, renowned for its demands on quality management systems, required Fluechem to scrutinise and enhance every aspect of its operations. The primary challenge lay in integrating a comprehensive quality management system (QMS) into the current management system that not only complied with international standards but also streamlined operations, improved efficiency, and maintained the highest levels of customer satisfaction. Given the global scope of its business, the company needed to ensure consistency and reliability in the supply of its products, despite the diverse regulatory environments of its international clientele.
Fluechem’s approach was methodical and strategic. We initiated an exhaustive review of our existing processes, whilst identifying areas for improvement that would align with ISO 9001:2015 standard. Our compliance department worked closely with our staff to implement best practices for quality assurance, customer focus, and continuous improvement. Key actions included the development of a robust QMS, rigorous staff training, and the establishment of clear, measurable objectives at all levels of operation. Through meticulous planning and execution, Fluechem not only met the requirements for certification but also enhanced its operational efficiency and product quality management processes through robust customer feedback and a continuous improvement program.
